Merging Multiple EPF Member IDs

When you switch jobs, each employer creates a unique PF Member ID under your UAN. Before claiming final settlement, you must transfer funds from all previous Member IDs into your current active Member ID.

Online Transfer Steps

  1. Log in to EPFO Member Portal.
  2. Click Online Services > One Member One EPF Account (Transfer Request).
  3. Verify your personal details and current PF account details.
  4. Choose whether to get the request attested by your Previous Employer or Present Employer (present employer is usually faster if HR is active).
  5. Enter previous Member ID, click Get Details, and request Aadhaar OTP to submit.

Next Steps

After the transfer claim is approved by the employer and field office, check our EPF Withdrawal Guide to submit final settlement.
